VIETNAM

BUI MINH QUOC (October 3, 1940): Pseudonym Duong Huong Ly, poet, was born in Son La, hometown of My Duc district, Ha Tay (now part of Hanoi). TO HOU (October 4, 1920 – December 9, 2002): Real name is Nguyen Kim Thanh, poet, hometown of Quang Dien, Thua Thien-Hue. Zen Master’s Vacuum (? – 05.10.10100): Real name is Vuong Hai Thiem, hometown of Phu Dong village, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh, now part of Hanoi. He studied history books, studied Buddhism profoundly, and lectured on the Lotus Sutra in the palace of King Ly Nhan Tong. Remaining works: a verse of the Noble Phantasm.

CAO NGOC ANH (December 12, 1878 – October 10, 1970): Her real name is Cao Thi Hoa, a female writer, from Dien Chau, Nghe An, famous for her poetic talent. Her compositions are collected in the collection Khue Du and Thi Thao.

TRAN HOANG (3.10.1240 – June 3,1290): Poet, second king of Tran dynasty, hometown of Thien Truong, now in My Loc district, Nam Dinh province. NGO THIS SU (July 15, 1726 – October 22, 1780): Poet, historian, self-titled The Loc, alias Ngo Phong, native of Thanh Oai district, now in Thanh Tri, Hanoi. He is the father of Ngo Thi Nham, Ngo Thi Chi, Ngo Thi Tri, and Ngo Thi Huong who are all famous artists, poets and writers.
